FAQ
Cannabidiol (CBD), is a promising phytocannabinoid found in cannabis and/or agricultural hemp. It has been recognized for its benefits on human and animal health and is capable of affecting nearly every biological process via the endocannabinoid system (ECS).
We have a unique single serving delivery system that helps to maintain the quality of the product from ultraviolet lights as well as contamination from multiple uses over a longer period of time. Feel safe with LivCana’s consistent quality serving of cannabinoids each day you consume Premium Hemp Oil +MCT – Full Spectrum and THC Free.
With the passing of the Farm Bill in 2018, Hemp derived CBD has become federally legal. Each state has their own laws governing CBD and while the majority of states (meaning almost all of them) are CBD Friendly, a few states are still determining where they stand. To learn more about your state laws, you can research this online or through your states government website.
There are two (2) types of CBD we use to formulate our products: Full Spectrum and CBD Isolate. A Full Spectrum Oil contains THC along with an array of other cannabinoids, this is the cannabinoid that drug tests, test for. CBD Isolate is different, this process isolates the THC and removes it from the final product. Therefore, any product that contains the CBD Isolate is seen as a safer option if you are faced with drug testing.
We would recommend the following products if you worry about drug testing: LivCana Premium Hemp Oil THC Free, LivCana Energy, LivCana CBD Balm.
Because this is a topical product and not intended for ingestion, it bypasses the liver and therefore removes the risk of testing positive during a drug test.
At low doses of CBD, less than 150mg total per day, it is unlikely that significant drug-herb interactions will occur. However it is always possible that drug-herb interactions can occur, and this is more likely the higher the dose. CBD and other plant cannabinoids can potentially interact with many pharmaceuticals by inhibiting the activity of cytochrome P450, a family of liver enzymes. If you are taking a medication where maintaining a certain blood level is critical- such as anti-seizure, anti-viral, blood-thinning medications- talk with your health care provider or pharmacist before trying CBD.
This is available on individual product pages at LifeActivated.com (Coming Fall 2019)
Anything you take sublingually is typically absorbed within a minute. The cannabinoids are them absorbed at a 12-35% absorption rate depending on your liver enzymes.
Since there is nothing to be metabolized you should not fail a test. The only reason anything would accumulate (not in your cells but in your liver) is if there are liver issues and/or the liver is congested.
The biomass used int eh manufacturing of our products is sourced in the United States. In addition to ensuring we acquire only the purest grade of raw materials, we conduct internal quality assurance tests on all ingredients and finished products. We also perform independent third-party testing with licensed laboratories.
We use 200 Proof Pure, Undenatured, ACS-USP Grade ethanol in our extraction process which contains no additives (only ethanol and trace amounts of water) to ensure a product free of heavy metals, volatiles, pyrogens and microbes. This form of ethanol has concentrations higher 99%. This is the highest purity of solvent that not only gives you the safest results but also reduces complications and irregularities in your final product. USP-Grade ethanol also has strict guidelines upheld by the FDA throughout all production processes, storage, inspection and packaging. These specifications help ensure consistency and safety. Only pure undenatured alcohol is certified under USP guidelines. Lower quality solvents have few controls for contaminants, meaning that the ethanol may be diluted to avoid regulatory restrictions, hazardous shipping fees and taxes. Our supercritical CO2 extraction process has minimal extraction times and produces highly concentrated extracts that are free of residue after extraction. Our methods also ensure laboratory safety and consistency of performance.

Our products are manufactured in a registered food manufacturing facility that is in full compliance with current cGMP standards for manufacturing, packaging, and labeling. The methods used in our facility and the controls used for the design, manufacture, process, packaging, labeling, testing and holding conforms to cGMP as defined in the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations. We comply with the strictest quality standards and meet all regulatory requirements. Our methods also ensure laboratory safety and consistency of performance. We are Kosher and Halal certified.
We have trialed over two dozen varieties (mostly sativa) allowing us to settle on a few premium strains known for their durability; hardiness; yield factors such as the CBD/THC ratios; test purity while in the field, as a milled biomass, and as a finished raw ingredient; and the very important end-product taste profile.
We target seed strains that require <10% males for pollination, and we push mother plants into selfing so as to create predictable S1 seeds. To force this selfing, we use a proprietary organic, non-chemical process. Some of our other strain management includes backcrossing to create more robust and productive BX1 and BX2 strains. We also split our strain variety planting with clones and seedlings so as to keep proven mother plant superiority and genetic purity in the field. Many of our F1 variants produce high CBD content (and other cannabinoids and terpenes) with low THC content. Our F1's are generally sturdy, bushy plants with dense growth producing excellent heavy flowers. Our 2018 preferred crop strain was a F1 feminized seed with ultra-high germination rates (96+%). Our 2019 crop is still in the field and consists of many new strains along with industry proven go-to strains to ensure crop diversity and high harvest output. Some of our current crops include new strains designed to produce much higher content in the more rare, lesser cannabinoids (such as CBG, CBN, etc.). All of our seeds, clones, and seedlings are properly registered for compliance and quality assurance directives. We are 100% capable in tracking lot and batches from finished raws (crude, distillate, isolates, etc.) backwards to plant origination.
